The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) conducts the Madhya Pradesh Provincial Civil Services (MPPCS) exam to recruit candidates for various administrative positions within the state. 2) Eligibility Criteria for MPPSC Exam

1. Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens. NRI or foreign nationals are not eligible.

2. Age Limit:
A. General Category: Minimum age is 21 years, and the maximum age is 40 years& Female Candidates 43 years
B. OBC and Female Candidates: Maximum age is 43 years.
C. SC/ST Candidates: Maximum age is 45 years.

3) Exam Pattern of MPPSC

The MPPSC exam consists of three stages. All stages Each paper carries varying marks, and the total marks for Mains are typically around 1400.

1. Preliminary Examination (Prelims):The Prelims Serve as a qualifying round with two objective-type papers. Each paper is of 200 marks, and the duration for each is 2 hours.

A. General Studies Paper I: Covers current events, history, geography, Indian polity, and social issues.
B. General Studies Paper II (CSAT): Tests comprehension, reasoning, and analytical skills. Candidates need to score at least 33%in this paper to qualify.

2. Mains Examination:The Mains exam comprises Several descriptive papers:
A. Compulsory Papers: Compulsory General papers in Hindi, English and Essay Writing
B. General Studies Papers:
General Studies Paper I: History and Geography (300 marks)
General Studies Paper II: Political Science and Sociology (300 marks)
General Studies Paper III: Economics, Science, Technology and Public Health. (300 marks)
General Studies Paper IV: philosophy, Psychology Public Administration and Case Study. (300 marks)
General Studies Paper V: General Hindi and Grammar. (200 marks)
General Studies Paper VI: Hindi essay and format writing. (100 marks)

3. Interview/Personality Test:The final stage includes a personal interview to assess the candidate’s personality, communication skills, and suitability for administrative roles. This stage carries 185 marks.
